The Pacific Forest Trust’s Working Forests, Winning Climate campaign is an ongoing initiative designed to:

• Expand awareness among policymakers, the media, landowners, carbon investors and the public of the tremendous climate benefits provided by our nation’s working forestlands


• Promote the sale of forest carbon offsets from the Trust’s Van Eck Forest Project.

As the Trust’s Communications Director, I named the campaign, wrote and designed the marketing materials, and supervised and contributed to the media outreach efforts. 

The campaign has been incredibly successful earning prestigious climate awards from the Environmental Protection Agency and the James Irvine Foundation, garnering high profile print media coverage (Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, People, National Public Radio, Yahoo News, PBS NewsHour); and selling California’s first state-backed forest carbon offsets to Speaker Pelosi, Governor Schwarzenegger, members of the California Assembly, emissions asset investors Natsource and to the public via Green Mountain Energy’s Be Green website.
